General Conference was held in Pokhara in the month of February 2008. A detail discussion on the future of NCFN in the changing context, further consultation is planned.
Women's conferences were organized in five regions in different times. The focused subjects were " The Status and Roles of Women in the Church Ministry" and "Rights of Women in the law of the government of Nepal". The need of Christian women in Nepal was discussed and tried to work out plans to address the needs.
NCFN jointly with the central women's committee organized workshop with the objectives of identifying strategies for effective evangelism. The other objective was to encourage women for evangelism under Church ministry.
The central regional youth committee organized a conference for NCFN and non NCFN Church youth in Hetauda Makawanpur. The focused theme was to build exemplary character of Youth in the changing context.
A leadership seminar was jointly organized by NCFN- Lead Nepal in Pokhara for leaders of the western region. One day leadership workshops and planning discussions took place in various regions of Nepal .The focused subjects were decision making and strategic plan orientation and the needs of leaders of the Churches were also discussed.
NCFN initiated an education center for educational activities. A thirty-six leader's courses are initiated for Kathmandu valley leaders who are participating with great interest. This focuses in empowering the leaders with theological understanding of the Word of God.It is operated once in a week on Sundays.
NCFN organized a public prayer for peace of the country at the time when the political situation was tense. We prayed for various national issues, which required to be solved.
This is one of the Projects of NCFN, an academic sector that provides B.Th. Degree, is affiliated to ATA last yr. The students are from Assam, Bhutan, Sikkim, Manipur, Darjeeling and Kalingpung and India. 130 are graduated by June 2008. Most of them are serving the Lord being in various positions in Nepal.
MCN focuses on training and sending missionaries nationally and internationally in partnership with Churches and organizations. MCN organized a National Mission Conference from 14-16 November 2007. The event was grand successful with the result of breakthrough experiences and historic unanimous declaration of slogan"Nepali Jati Vijay Jati, Nepali Jati Missionary jati".
LTD is initiated in Jan 2007 as a separate project of NCFN focuses on training women and men leaders, organizes residential courses and mobile seminars and workshops. This projects aims to develop servent leaders in Nepal.
We facilitated in organizing four medical camps in remote needy communities of Nepal. We facilitated to construct bridges. We dedicated 2 bridges in two regions one is in Gorkha, western region and another is in far eastern region Bansabari. We also assisted people who have incurable sickness.
